The 3-year “Scaling Up Local Capacity to Innovate for Food and Nutrition Security” (SULCI-FaNS) ran from 1 October 2019 to 30 November 2022, with funding from Misereor/KZE Germany. The project aimed to strengthen the innovative capacities of rural communities, particularly of women, and to increase local resilience to change. It also contributed to building platforms of Prolinnova Country Platforms in two subregions in Africa – in West & Central Africa (WCA) and in Eastern & Southern Africa (ESA). On-the-ground project activities, primarily with women and women’s groups, were implemented in Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Ghana and Kenya.
