The Promoting local innovation in Food and Nutrition Security (Proli-FaNS) project funded by Misereor under the German Government’s “One World No Hunger” initiative is being implemented in five African countries in the Prolinnova network. Three of them – Ethiopia, Ghana and Kenya – are anglophone and two of them – Burkina Faso and Cameroon – are francophone. A training workshop in promoting local innovation and participatory innovation development for anglophone participants took place in Nairobi, Kenya, on 13-16 February 2017. Two participants each from Ethiopia and Ghana and four participants from Kenya, including two farmer innovators from the two project sites in Kenya, attended the workshop. The workshop was facilitated by Makonge Righa from Prolinnova-Kenya and Chesha Wettasinha from the Prolinnova International Secretariat. Special attention was given to women as innovators and supporting their innovations related to food and nutrition security, as this is a key objective of the Proli-FaNS project. The report is in English with a one-page summary in French.
