At its July 2024 quarterly meeting, the Prolinnova Oversight Group (POG) agreed that the one of the newly elected independent members of the POG, Mutizwa Mukute from Zimbabwe, will become the POG co-chair, working together with the continuing co-chair Lisa van Dijk (based in France). Mutizwa knows Prolinnova for the longest time possible: when he was a member of the CGIAR NGO Committee, he attended the Rambouillet (France) meeting in 1999 and co-developed the concept of Prolinnova. With his experience in organisational development, transformative learning and participatory evaluation (also of Prolinnova activities in the past), he is extremely well prepared for his new role and can give the network valuable advice. He assumes the co-chairmanship from Suman Manandhar (Nepal), an independent member whose term of office in the POG came to an end in June 2024. We thank Suman for his great support to the network as POG co-chair and are sure he will continue to play a similar but less demanding role as a “Friend of Prolinnova”. We welcome Mutziwa to the POG and look forward to working together with him as new co-chair.
