One of the first activities of Prolinnova-Kenya in the CLIC–SR (Combining Local Innovative Capacity with Scientific Research) project was to conduct a field study in Machakos Country, one of the two areas selected for this project. The main aims of the study were: i) to document and assess how smallholder farmers and their communities perceive the main changes affecting their lives, including climate change; and ii) to discover how the communities try to respond, innovate and adapt to the changes they perceive. The report on the field study can be found here.
