Coady International Institute at St Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, invited Ann Waters-Bayer of the Prolinnova IST to speak about “Investing in farmers’ creativity”, On 5 June 2012, Ann shared with staff and students of the university the experiences and lessons from the Prolinnova CPs that are piloting LISFs. After the presentation, Mr David Fletcher, Coady’s Coordinator of Education Programmes, facilitated a discussion on stimulating farmer-led innovation and experimentation. This involved a panel composed of Ms Bernie Dolly, Director of Inkhala Trust in South Africa; Ms Brianne Peters from Coady International Institute; and Mr Kevin Bekkers, Agricultural Resource Coordinator with the Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture.
