This month Femke van der Lee, until recently MSc student at Wageningen University and Research, finalised her report on the study of policy change processes in the Limpopo Province of South Africa towards integration of participatory approaches in theory and practice: Actors, Politics and Narratives: Policy Change Processes in the Limpopo Department of Agriculture. Based on extensive document study and interviews with all key actors involved in the process she documents the main milestones in this process. Using the policy framework by Scoones and Keeley allows her to analyse the process in more detail in the search for critical factors that explain both success and failures.
