An article by Meredith Leigh in the magazine Mother Earth News “Animals on the farm: a holistic approach” (March 2021) describes how farmers around the world are developing innovative ways of integrating livestock into farming operations. One of the main examples is the feed for dairy goats developed by the Kenyan small-scale farmer Joe Ouko using local available browse resources. Both Joe as well as Chesha Wettasinha from the Prolinnova International Support Team were interviewed for this article.
