The McKnight Foundation Collaborative Crops Research Program made a one-page “Research to Impacts Map” to describe the achievements of the FaReNe project in the first phase (2015–19). It summarises the project as follows: “The project aims to strengthen and support farmer-led research networks in which smallholders lead joint experimentation for agroecological intensification (AEI) building on local knowledge and innovation.” It shows impact on engagement between farmers and researchers, generation of AEI knowledge and securing livelihoods of small-scale farmers.
